Forward Fooding is a global network of entrepreneurs powered by entrepreneurs that provides the necessary support and velocity to enable collaborations and partnerships between established food organizations and startups.
We believe entrepreneurship can make a difference in solving some of the biggest issues that are affecting our current food system. That combined with the infrastructure and expertise from corporates is the ‘secret sauce’ to create a brighter future of food.
To build a better food system within the next few decades, both startups and corporates must get involved. We believe in the power of collaboration as breakthrough innovation begins with teamwork, partnership, and cooperation.
Technology and the internet have become ‘growth enablers’ for any business that is looking to deploying more creative route-to-market strategies to sell their products while creating a more direct dialogue with their customers. We believe that the “contamination” between ‘foodies’ and ‘techies’ can inspire entrepreneurs to build truly digital brands and help them to create thriving businesses.
It’s no secret that building a thriving business is a big endeavour. We believe that execution is everything in business and we strongly ‘advocate’ the importance embracing a “go-figure-it-out” attitude/hustling to really innovate and quickly adapt to the new business environment.
By connecting corporate executives with entrepreneurs we help them to embrace the ‘unconventional’ to unlock growth opportunities for their respective businesses. We believe there is no ‘recipe for success’ when it comes to co-creating business opportunities and failure must be embraced.
Forward Fooding’ roots date back to San Francisco, where our founder, Alessio D’Antino started the company (formerly named Crowdfooding) with the aim of broadening the access to capital for food and FoodTech entrepreneurs. As a former executive at a Fortune 500 beverage company Alessio became increasingly frustrated with the company’s rigid approach to innovation and their ‘meaningless’ agenda and decided to move to Silicon Valley in search of inspiration. After stumbling upon a number of brave entrepreneurs who were building highly innovative ventures, he started realising that startups were going to play a larger role in solving some of the biggest challenges affecting our global food system. Since then Forward Fooding has built a global community of innovators in FMCG’s and FoodTech. We now work with food and beverage companies of all sizes to help embrace more collaborative models to innovation in order to create a brighter future of food.
