An interview with the founding team of Fibervita, one of Forward Fooding’s top 500 Food Tech startups.
We asked our FoodTech 500 top-runners to give us a bit of insight into how they started out as a company and their thoughts on the role of technology in Food innovation. Meet the founding team from Fibervita, producing innovative fibrous ingredients based on cassava. Let’s see what they had to say.
So tell us a little bit more about you! Where did the idea for your FoodTech company come from?
The Fibervita team: Ricardo Schindler’s, one of our founder fathers, had been working in the cassava business for a lifetime and fiber-based products for food application is something he was very much willing to pursue! And through Ricardo and his colleagues, just named, it came true!
Fibervita produces innovative fibrous ingredients based on cassava that deliver multifunctionality, healthiness and clean label solutions.
How is tech central to your business?
The Fibervita team: Disruptive technology is extremely important and is the leading differential competitiveness!
Why do you think it’s important to see the food industry embrace tech?
The Fibervita team: Technology is the key to any new business in the food segment, and it supports new developments, as well as disruptive ideas to come as new leads! Tech, disruption, and collaboration are THE new mindset for success Foodtechs.
