It’s time to put a face to the name…
We asked our FoodTech 500 top-runners to give us a bit of insight into how they started out as a company and their thoughts on the role of technology in Food innovation. Meet Pablo and Alberto, the powerhouse behind Farmidable, a technological and logistics platform that promotes sustainable production and local economic wealth, integrates people at risk of exclusion and contributes to carbon footprint reduction. Let’s see what they had to say.
So tell us a little bit more about you! Where did the idea for your FoodTech company come from?
Pablo and Alberto: After 14 years of working in digital marketing with our own agency, we decided that we had to take a step forward and not only our purpose was to make money but also to transform the world, focusing on sustainability and social impact. That’s why Farmidable was born, our project is the result of destiny, having had contact with biodynamic agriculture and people with disabilities for years.
How is tech central to your business?
Pablo and Alberto: We are developing and evolving a “tech for good” technology platform to improve rural access to the city and optimize short circuit logistics.
Why do you think it’s important to see the food industry embrace tech?
Pablo and Alberto: Technology should improve the creation of new products, optimize logistics processes, optimize resources in agriculture, improve animal conditions on farms and improve the quality of life of producers.
