The 2023 Food Tech Global Tour is the annual celebration of the FoodTech 500 finalists where we gather our community in different cities across the globe. We are kicking off the Global Tour in our HQ in London, one of the top bustling FoodTech hubs.

What can you expect to see? Exciting innovations for sure, along with inspiring talks from entrepreneurs, change-makers, and global leaders in AgriFoodTech. During the event, we’ll get the chance to introduce some of the Top UK companies in the ranking through their founders. 

The 2023 FoodTech 500 Official Reveal

We are over the moon to announce the FoodTech500 is embarking on a global tour to unveil the official 2023 FoodTech 500 winners with the full-ranked list of companies that made it!

In this year’s ranking, each application was analyzed through the FoodTech Data Navigator’s algorithms, generating both the business size score and digital footprint score. Subsequently, we evaluated each business’s sustainability using a self-assessed questionnaire developed by sustainability experts in academia. This questionnaire considers the contribution of each company towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. 

There were a total of over 1500 entries reviewed this year, representing 57 countries. 

London will be our first stop for our Global Tour before we go on to travel to Stockholm, Berlin, Dubai, and more. Stay tuned for more details for our upcoming events. 

The FoodTech 500 Over Time

Initially conceived in 2019 as the definitive list of the top 500 companies shaping the future of food, the FoodTech 500 has evolved into an annual tradition, propelled by the ever-evolving nature of the sector. Our ambition for the FoodTech 500 has also grown since– we aspire for it to become the Fortune 500 of AgriFoodTech, acknowledging the industry’s top innovators and disruptors- the heroes of our generation. 

Now in its fifth edition, the FoodTech 500 has gathered more than 9.000 applications from AgriFoodTech startup & scaleup companies globally, onboarded 45+ Media Partners, and reached 180+ countries in terms of applications received. Since 2019 it continues to raise awareness about the AgriFoodTech sector, the key challenges that our Global Food System is facing, and the entrepreneurs who work hard to improve it every day
