Meet Vered and Igal from Vibe Imaging Analytics, one of the FoodTech 500 winners
An interview with Vered Israeli and Igal Loevsky, founders of Vibe Imaging Analytics, one of Forward Fooding’s top 500 Food Tech startups.
It’s time to put a face to the name…
We asked our FoodTech500 top-runners to give us a bit of insight into how they started out as a company and their thoughts on the role of technology in Food innovation. Meet Vered and Igal, the power-duo behind Vibe Imaging Analytics, serving the seed and grain market with the best digital inspection and data analysis for better and safer food to the world. Let’s see what they had to say.
So tell us a little bit more about you! Where did the idea for your FoodTech company come from?
Vered: When I visited the CEO of a Grain Processing Company and witnessed their crisis of the day, I learned about the real impact of human visual inspection on their business. It was used all over the place, from the incoming inspection, process control through the packaging areas. The subjectivity, availability of experts and the time to complete the task stood out to the need for innovation.
How is tech central to your business?
Vered and Igal: Vibe is all about customers and technology. It is our building block to convert challenges to products and solutions. Our core team combines Research, Development and Product people.
Why do you think it’s important to see the food industry embrace tech?
Vered and Igal: Many people talk about the issues in the next 20-30 years, but we first must address the issues of today. With technology and willingness to change we can improve people’s lives. It will help us to become more efficient, reduce waste and make sure that we all eat good quality and safer food.
