Paul Le, founder of La Belle Vie
It’s time to put a face to the name…
We asked our FoodTech 500 top-runners to give us a bit of insight into how they started out as a company and their thoughts on the role of technology in Food innovation. Meet Paul and Alban, the founders of La Belle Vie, who do dark grocery, delivering within one hour a choice of more than 6000 fresh and good products. Their know-how is to master urban warehouses and last-mile delivery. Let’s see what the founders had to say.
So tell us a little bit more about you! Where did the idea for your FoodTech company come from?
Paul and Alban: In big cities, the grocery system is broken. It is difficult to find fresh and good products at the same place. If so, the choice is too little, otherwise, we find only industrial products. Also, the waiting line doesn’t match the style of life of urban people anymore. The result is that people in urban cities don’t eat well anymore, and they don’t cook. This is why we created an online grocery that delivers more than 6000 fresh products within one hour. Take back control of what you eat.
How is tech central to your business?
Paul and Alban: Managing urban warehouses and the last mile delivery on our own needs a brand new warehouse and delivery system management software. We are building the first on-demand, last-mile dark grocery logistic and software.
Why do you think it’s important to see the food industry embrace tech?
Paul and Alban: If used in a wise way, tech can improve our lives. It can help us to eat better and safer. At the same time, tech can give us more time to enjoy the little good things of life that sometimes we neglect. Want to know more? See La Belle Vie’s full profile here.
