That’s 2019’s definitive list of global entrepreneurial talent at the intersection between food, technology and sustainability. We collected over 1.200 applications from 54 different countries, across 8 different categories of AgriFoodTech. A truly global response! But what happened to the winners? Where are they now? As the global pandemic has highlighted how fragile our food system can be, we’ve asked each company from the FoodTech 500 to share with us some triple-bottom line metrics of the impact they were able to generate since we launched the official list back in February 2020.

Thus, we have crated this report to showcase the progress made by some of our 500 winners over the last 6 months. When crafting this report, we looked at impact metrics such as jobs creation, funding activities, and strategic partnerships established with industry players.

Creating this report has shown us what we already knew: the world of AgriFoodTech is diverse, impact-driven and future-thinking. And it is shaping our very perception of the food landscape.
