Last week we hosted our first in Barcelona FoodTech Meetup in collaboration with Vevolution. We absolutely had a blast sharing, learning and enabling meaningful connections among like-minded people who want to create a positive impact on our food system! Check out the pictures of the event here 

The event started with our wonderful MC introducing our amazing speakers for the night. We started off with a keynote speech from Marc Coloma from Heura Foods sharing a bit of the journey that led him to get into entrepreneurship, the challenges and opportunities of building a 'challenger' brand and impact they have been able to create so far with their company. We then had a fantastic set of panelists including Maria Cebrian Fernandez from Terraseed Ana Luz Sanz from Väcka and Michiel van Deursen from Capital V chaired by Roberto Guerra who very openly shared their experiences, journey and honest opinions about the opportunities and challenges of building vegan businesses. We then wrapped up the event by opening up to the floor by asking all participants to briefly introduce themselves to facilitate connections during the networking session.

Marc stated "You can show people an uncomfortable reality but it does not mean that alone will create a change. We need to find the most effective way to make a true and significant change" which we think encompasses really well what Barcelona's first #VeganEntrepreneursNetwork event was all about: enabling meaningful connections for creating positive change!

A big thank you go to our partners-in-crime Vevolution, and of course, Talent Garden for hosting us as we build and foster Barcelona's FoodTech community. And last but clearly not least, thank you to all the participants that made this event so amazing and fun. The incredible entrepreneurial talent who came together during this event is the testament of the vibrant FoodTech community that Barcelona has to offer!
