MIMICA | Opened a crowdfunding to allow anyone to become a co-owner of their food waste-fighting company. IRONIC BIOTECH | Develops a plant-derived heme protein using precision fermentation that demonstrates higher iron absorption rates than traditional iron supplements. Read more
THE PROTEIN BREWERY | Secures over $35M in funding from the Dutch government and Novo Holdings (maker of Ozempic) to scale up production of its Fermotein fungi-based protein. Read more
MICHROMA | Partners with South Korean food giant CJ CheilJedang to scale up the production of its high-performance natural food colorants, starting with its fungi-derived red dye, Red+. Read more
NOTCO | Partners with Magnum ice cream to leverage its AI platform, Giuseppe, to accelerate innovation and develop new plant-based products for the U.S. market. Read more
SOLAR FOODS | Launches an egg-free mayonnaise, the first retail proof-of-concept for its Solein protein, which is made from microbes cultured with electricity and air. Read more
TIME-TRAVELLING MILKMAN | Raises $2.3M in funding to scale and commercialize its plant-based fat alternative, made from sunflower seed oleosomes, to replicate the properties of dairy fat. Read more
ÄIO | Plans to launch its yeast-based palm oil substitute in the cosmetics market in 2025, ahead of its debut in the food industry. Read more

CLEAN FOOD GROUP | Acquires the assets of Algal Omega 3 Ltd, making it the world’s largest manufacturer of yeast fermentation-derived sustainable oils and fats. ONEGO BIO | Receives a “no questions” letter from the FDA for its Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) notification, clearing the way for the sale of its chicken-free ovalbumin protein in the U.S. Read more
