As the industry continues to expand, the individual companies within it have demonstrated remarkable growth.
Over the last decade, international AgriFoodTech companies have been able to secure record-breaking funding, with more than 300 FoodTech companies raising $100 million or more to date, underscoring the growing appetite for investment in this sector. (Source: FoodTech Data Navigator)
With unprecedented resources at their disposal for research and development, workforce expansion, and even company acquisitions, these players are propelling their growth and becoming outliers in the industry.
Our latest analysis of the FoodTech 500 finalist companies, for example, shows that not only are these finalist companies raising more funds, but also an increasing number of them have crossed the $100 million funding mark over their lifetime.
Between 2019, which marked the launch of the first edition of the FoodTech 500 and today, the number of companies listed in the FoodTech 500 that have raised $100M+ has risen from 1 to 23. Thus, to recognise the companies with a successful track record of fundraising, we are introducing the FoodTech $100 Million Club to level the playing field for future iterations of the FoodTech 500.

While celebrating the achievements of successful companies, the Club separates them from the early-stage players that are still starting their journeys, enabling us to provide a more accurate representation of companies’ overall performance and success in the FoodTech space.
With this new classification, we look forward to continuing to recognize AgriFoodtech’s most extraordinary talent, both by celebrating companies that are already making big waves as well as those who are just beginning to transform the future of food.
